Daniel Defense, a popular manufacturer of professional-grade AR-pattern rifles and accessories, has made Inc. business magazine’s 500/5000 list for a second year in a row, highlighting their successes and incredibly fast growth.

Inc.’s 500/5000 list is a showcase of small and large businesses that have embraced entrepreneurship and shown large gains because of it.

“Daniel Defense has grown 1,000 percent in the past 10 years,” said Marty Daniel, President and CEO of Daniel Defense in a press release. “This is the second year we applied for and the second year we have been recognized by Inc. 500/5000. We have the products, marketing and distribution channels to grow faster; however, we are managing our growth to a level that is sustainable for excellent quality and customer service. Daniel Defense is well on its way to becoming the premier manufacturer of quality small arms in the world. And we have the team to do it.”

Daniel Defense didn’t come in the top 10, or top half of the 500/5000 list, ranked at company number 2,927, that shouldn’t be held against the company. It’s a great recognition of the firm’s success and a significant endorsement of Daniel Defense.

“Not all the companies in the Inc. 500/5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.

The award is given to Daniel Defense to spotlight the fact that, over the past three years, the company has gone from 40 to 153 employees, increased their revenue from $14.7 million to $31.7 million, a 116 percent growth.

“In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500/5000 companies is an impressive 142 percent,” explains Inc. “The companies on this year’s list report having created over 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion.”

And in all honesty, you could do a lot worse than buy a Daniel Defense rifle or component. The Inc. magazine award is really just a reflection of their product and service quality.
