Three men are recovering from gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery Thursday night at an ATM in Detroit was foiled by the would-be victim who also happened to be an armed.
According to authorities, the 50-year-old man walked up to the ATM to withdraw money and was approached by two teen suspects, one of who was armed with a handgun and the other armed with a sawed off rifle.
The would-be victim, who police confirmed holds a valid concealed pistol license, produced his own handgun and a gunfight ensued. Both the suspects and the victim were all shot and after police arrived, the victim and the suspects were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening wounds.
The suspects are now in police custody.
