Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)-  NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) will be on the grounds of the U.S. Capital on September 19 to hold a rally for expanded background checks.

The rally is part of the “No More Names: National Drive To Reduce Gun Violence” bus tour which the group began earlier this year.

Politico reports that the tour has stopped in 25 states to hold gun control events where they list names of gun violence victims.

MAIG outraged Americans at a June 18 New Hampshire rally when they listed one of the Boston bombers as a victim of gun violence–because police shot him. At that same rally they also listed cop-killer Christopher Dorner as a victim of gun violence, because police shot him after he killed two officers.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) wants to bring expanded background checks back for a vote but says he cannot do so at this time because he lacks the support to pass it.
