Federal Premium Ammunition is expanding the American Eagle series of varmint and predator ammo, adding 90-grain 6.8 SPC and 6.5 Grendel loads to the lineup.

The two new loads seek to offer shooters an accurate, consistent and reliable performance at an affordable price.

Featuring reloadable brass and Federal primers, the loads offer a jacketed hollow point or tipped varmint bullet, depending on caliber, with both designs expanding on impact for maximum lethality.

Touted as the perfect round for the avid varmint hunter, Federal Premium says the loads provide reliable feeding and function.

The new ammunition is available in either 40-round or 50-round, bulk packs to reduce in-the-field-waste during high-volume shooting. Shooters can expect to see the 6.5 Grendel JHP priced around $64 for a 50-round box while the 6.8 SPC JHP comes in a tad cheaper at the $54 mark for a 50-round box. Both sets of ammunition are currently on their way to dealers.
