American Deer & Wildlife Alliance Donates to Various Youth Organizations
AUSTIN, Texas – -(AmmoLand.com)- Supporting the non-profit organizations who work daily to further youth outdoor education is a priority considering today’s economy. The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) donated “camper bags” – filled with prizes from ADWA members  ¬Ã‚ ¬- to five youth camps this fall.
From Mountain Mike Reproduction’s antler mounting kits to broad head pins from Muzzy, knives from Taylor Brands and Rite in the Rain hunting journals, ADWA bags were filled to the brim for camps to distribute as they so pleased.
“We just held a writing competition and awarded the winner with a hunt of a lifetime on our owner’s farm in Ohio,” says Chris Walls of Beyond the Backyard. “We plan on sending the goody bags to all of the children who participated in the event, but did not win the grand prize. The ADWA bags are greatly appreciated for this cause.”
“We were overwhelmed at the graciousness of our members this time of year. Every single one shipped ADWA product to donate,” says Annie Jones, ADWA director of operations. “It just shows the overwhelming support our nationwide community has for organizations who work with youth full-time.” For a full list of members and their products, please visit https://deerwildlifealliance.org/allies.htm.
The five camps chosen by ADWA were: Ray Howell’s Kicking Bear, Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids, the United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation, Cross Trail Outfitters and Beyond the Backyard. Kicking Bear, a nation-wide mentoring program, works to introduce disadvantaged children to the great outdoors. For the last 17 years, Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids has worked to offer the great outdoors and hunting as positive alternatives to the use of drugs and alcohol to our youth today. Working to preserve land, the United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation strives to make land available for future generations to enjoy outdoor sports. Cross Trail Outfitters (CTO) is in the field every weekend of the year, fishing and hunting. Last but not least, Beyond the Backyard is West Virginia’s first and only outdoor youth organization dedicated to both children and parents.
