New Berlin, WI –-(Ammoland.com)- Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is pleased to announce A-Way Outdoors in God’s Country is moving to the network starting in January, 2011 for 52 weeks.

A-Way Outdoors in God’s Country debuts Tuesday, December 28 at 8:30 a.m. ET with re-airs on Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays at 12 p.m. EST.

A-Way Outdoors in God’s Country is an award-winning show that’s heading into its eleventh season on TV with hosts, Fred and Greg Abbas and Bob Lindquist. “Keeping in close contact with our viewers is a priority with all of us at Away Outdoors. After speaking with viewers, we made the decision to go back to Sportsman Channel. All of us are impressed with their growth and their commitment to viewers and producers. We look forward to coming back into your homes every week,” said Greg Abbas.

“We are glad to have A-Way Outdoors join us again on Sportsman Channel with their top notch production,” said Jim Seeley, Director of Programming for Sportsman Channel. “Our viewers have enjoyed their hunts and products because they make it so any person can successfully enjoy the outdoors.”

Hunting and fishing has been a way of life for hosts Fred and Greg Abbas. Fred, (Michigan’s number one all-time trophy whitetail hunter with the most record book entries), introduced Greg to the outdoors at a very young age.

Greg is no slouch to the outdoors either. He’s is a six-time Michigan State Turkey Calling Champion, a two-time Deer Calling and Rattling Champion, and a professional full-time guide with numerous trophy deer and turkey entries in the record books. He and his father created their own hunting tactics they have shared with the public through their hunting videos and their national seminars for years. A-Way Outdoors takes the viewer on exciting over-the-shoulder hunting and fishing adventures from across the U.S., Canada and Africa.

Nature Productions, with producer Blaine Anthony, will continue to edit A-Way Outdoors. “If you have not had the chance to catch A-Way Outdoors in the past, you need to tune in to see the stepped-up production, but yet the same friendly down-home personalities you’ve loved. It’s been enjoyable to work with the Abbas’ and we look forward to another great season,” said Anthony.

Nature Productions also produces The Bear Whisperer (debuting in 2011) and The North American Safari Challenge, formally “Hunting for the Dream.”
