Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- Eight-year-old Jordan Bennett was suspended from school in Florida after being accused of an “act of violence” for using his finger to make an imaginary gun during a game of cops and robbers.

According to Fox News, administrators at Harmony Community School in Harmony, FL, suspended  Bennett for a day; school district officials said their code of conduct “prohibits students from playing with invisible guns.”

The boy's mother cannot believe her son “may be labeled with a violent suspension on his academic record” for playing with a gun that was not there. “He had nothing in his hand,” said Bonnie Bennett. “It was a finger gun, a pretend gun.”

Bonnie Bennett added: “He didn't threaten violence. He didn't utter words that were inappropriate. He made a sound and used his fingers and that was it.”
