Phoenix, AZ -(AmmoLand.com)- The Arizona Elk Society (AES) is currently accepting applications for its annual College Scholarship Program which is designed to advance conservation through education, for Arizona college students pursuing a degree in wildlife sciences or other closely related fields.

Three scholarships will be awarded for the 2016 school year, applicants must participate in school-related responsibilities and activities plus exhibit a commitment to wildlife and nature.

Applicants for each of the two high school student scholarships ($750 and $1000) must be Arizona residents and 2016 graduating high school seniors with plans to attend an accredited college. Applicants for the college student scholarship ($1000) must be pursuing a degree in and/or closely related to wildlife science from an accredited college or university.

The deadline to submit Scholarship Applications and all required materials to the Arizona Elk Society is January 31, 2016. Program details, eligibility requirements and the scholarship application can be found on the Arizona Elk Society website.

Scholarship recipients will be announced and presented at the 15th annual Arizona Elk Society Banquet on March 19, 2016 at the Mesa Convention Center.
