BELLEVUE, WA –-(Ammoland.com)- The Second Amendment Foundation announced today that 1st National Reserve joins with the Second Amendment Foundation as a Gold level Sponsor in the fight to restore and protect the right of law-abiding individuals to keep and bear arms.

1st National Reserve has long supported the right to keep and bear arms and the new Gold sponsorship agreement allows them to expand their commitment to this civil rights arena through support of the Second Amendment Foundation, a group at the cutting edge of firearms law.

The fiscal support and expertise that 1st National Reserve is generously providing makes possible significant growth in SAF’s legal action and education programs at a time when our important work grows ever more critical with new legal battles being joined across the country – most recently with SAF’s federal lawsuit filed against I-594 in Washington.

SAF is at the cutting edge of preserving and restoring firearms rights with recent courtroom triumphs in Moore v. Madigan, Chan v. Seattle, and Palmer v. District of Columbia in addition to the landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in McDonald v. Chicago.

SAF education programs include the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, publications and new initiatives such as the Preemption Legal Project ensuring the compliance of cities and counties across the nation with state firearms laws – most recently in Park City, Utah.

“Our partnership with 1st National Reserve not only provides the Second Amendment Foundation with immediate benefits that will allow us to continue and expand our important work protecting and restoring the right to keep and bear arms, but offers us a wide array of ways to work together to the benefit of our members and supporters in 2015 and beyond,” said SAF Director of Development Ray Carter.

“Because of newly passed and impending anti-gun legislation, SAF must be ready to respond swiftly with meaningful legal action. This new support from 1st National Reserve will substantially increase our effectiveness,” Carter concluded.

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org ) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.
