‘#1 DAD’ uses daughter as human shield during attempted arrest (VIDEO)

Authorities out of Johnson County, Kentucky, are searching for a man on the run who they say used his daughter as a human shield to avoid being arrested.

Jonathan Morrow entered the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office last week to file a restraining order against his wife, but while at the department, authorities learned Morrow was wanted in Tennessee for drug trafficking charges.

Morrow, who is seen in surveillance video wearing a “#1 DAD” t-shirt, tried to run out of the sheriff’s office, pulling his daughter in front of him as a deputy attempted to detain him. At one point, the deputy got a clear shot of Morrow and shot him with a Taser. Morrow, in turn, pulled out the prongs, threw his daughter in his car and took off, hitting a police cruiser in the process.

Morrow left the station and retrieved a second child, but eventually took both children to a guardian. The children were not harmed.

Morrow, however, remains on the run and now, in additional to drug trafficking, will likely face charges for leaving the scene of an accident, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing and evading police in a vehicle, endangering the welfare of a minor and resisting arrest.
